Recent engagements include Pellinore in Camelot with Janus Concert Series, Le berger and Le médecin in Pelléas et Mélisande with Ouroboros Opera, Melisso in Chicago Vocal Arts Consortium’s Summer Opera Workshop of Alcina, Betto di Signa in Gianni Schicchi with New Moon Opera Company, Le Gouverneur in Le comte Ory with Transgressive Theatre-Opera, Il Commendatore in Don Giovanni with Petite Opera Productions, Pa Dowling in Patience & Sarah with Third Eye Theatre Ensemble, Warlock Jarthel in the premiere of Eric Lindsay’s Cosmic Ray and the Amazing Chris with Thompson Street Opera Company, and Gideon March in Adamo’s Little Women with Chicago Vocal Arts Consortium.

Kota matriculated at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University for graduate study where he was seen as Badger and Parson in The Cunning Little Vixen, Tempo in the prologue of Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulises in Patria, and Der Schultz in Mendelssohn’s liederspiel Heimke aus dem Fremde.

Kota pursued his undergraduate studies at Idaho State University, where he studied with Dr. Diana Livingston-Friedley; his roles there included Mr. J.J. Peachum in Weill’s The Threepenny Opera and Don Alhambra del Bolero in The Gondoliers.

In his Muggle life, Kota is a Senior Associate in Talent Acquisition at Guidehouse, a global consultancy.As a Campus Recruiter, he supports Intern and Early Career recruiting for the breadth of Guidehouse's Health segment (Life Sciences, Payer Provider, and Public Health) with an ‘understated tenacity’.
